That funny feeling....

I went to Mr R and had my third fill last week. Apparently I now have a total of 2.75cc in my inner tube. It only took 0.3cc this time to attain the required "tightness" and as the total capacity is 4cc, there's still a lot of room for manoever.
So, a whole week on liquids. When I first started this, that seemed really daunting, but now I look on it as a challenge. I have established what soup recipes I like and can plan the week, getting gradually thicker in consistency so I'm on smoothies type of thickness by the end of the week, ready to go onto sloppy. Today's my second day on sloppy and I'm just waiting for my runny porridge to cool down while I write this. Last night's tea was mash potato and gravy - really yum! I've really noticed the restriction this time. I can only manage half a portion of porridge before I'm stuffed! That's way good! And, as always, it is much tighter in the morning. That first drink of water when I wake up can sometimes be a bit uncomfortable - I really have to make sure I'm out of bed and standing up before it goes down properly.
Mind you, I was a bit disappointed when I got on the scales this morning, after a week on liquids I haven't lost an ounce! Exactly the same as last week! Maybe I'm retaining water? Or perhaps its because I've been really lazy and not done any exercise till this morning. I told myself all week that I was too "weak" from lack of proper food to do the treadmill - what a load of rubbish!
Well I'm back on the treadmill in other ways too. I'm been really proactive this week about generating work, attended another networking meeting in MK, booked a few appointments to see people who can help me with marketing etc. And finally got a date in the diary for next week to start working with this IT Services company who told me they wanted my help in January - quick off the mark huh? I also reviewed top-consultant.com for Associate Consultant roles and found a few potential leads. I sent CV and letter to about 4 and received replies from 3 within the hour - cool!
Helen came round for a coffee yesterday and we had a lovely chat about the nature of spirituality and the universe, nice and light for a Thursday morning. I then did a tarot reading for her, the first I've done for anyone other than myself in at least 15 years! It was really different, I gave the usual predictions, but also connected with her dad who has passed over. It was quite extraordinary.
